This Armring is a replica of the archaeological find at Gotland, Sweden dated to the Viking Age. This one unlike many others is longer and more flexible and meant to be worn around the upper arm/triceps. The original is kept at the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm but you can now own an armring exactly like was worn more than 1000 years ago.
Armrings were some of the most valuable items in the Viking Age and the most attested pieces of jewelry in the old literature. They were used for multiple purposes such as gift giving, swearing oaths, payment and even in religious rituals.
