Viking Blowing Horn – Inspired by the Gallehus Horns

This blowing horn is inspired by the legendary Gallehus Horns which were two gold horns discovered in Southern Denmark and dated to the 5th century. Known for their intricate designs and one of the clearest Elder Futhark runic inscriptions, the original artifacts are no longer in existence but authentic gold replicas are preserved at the National Museum of Denmark.

While our horn isn’t made of gold like the original, the runes found on it are the exact same as the original, which reads:

"ek Hlewagastiz Holtijaz horna tawidō"

"I Hlewagastiz Holtijaz made the horn"

Crafted from polished cattle horn, this musical instrument produces a powerful and beautiful sound when played with the correct technique. It’s perfect for reenactments, performances, or as a unique historical collectible.
