This Armring is based on the Thorleifs Cross on the Isle of Man, England dated to the Viking Age. This is a large stone pillar discovered in Old Kirk Braddan churchyard dated to the Viking age. Although, the cross is a Christian monument, it was carved out by a Norse settler as one can clearly see in the design. It also has elements of Celtic and Norse Mythology in its inscriptions. You can now own a bracelet based on this Norse–Gaelic design.
Armrings were some of the most valuable items in the Viking Age and the most attested pieces of jewelry in the old literature. They were used for multiple purposes such as gift giving, swearing oaths, payment and even in religious rituals.
