This Armring is designed based on the archaeological finds at Eyrarland, Iceland dated to the Viking Age. The originals are what is referred to as the ""Varghammer"(Wolf-hammer) or "Vargkors"(Wolf-cross) due to the wolf-like design. They are pendants and statuettes, but now this design has been adapted into an armring exactly like would have been worn more than 1000 years ago.
Armrings were some of the most valuable items in the Viking Age and the most attested pieces of jewelry in the old literature. They were used for multiple purposes such as gift giving, swearing oaths, payment and even in religious rituals.
